The most spectacular family day out in Cornwall!

Here proudly stands one of the most important and best loved landmarks in Britain. Land's End reflects the magnificent moods of the Duchy, as it defiantly protects Cornwall from the worst the Western Approaches can storm at it. It marks the end of the sea's dominance. Now, as always through the ages, visitors regard it as a pilgrimage. You cannot fail to feel a sense of awe and wonder as you stand on the 200 feet high granite rocks that gaze out on the Atlantic and the lost land of Lyonesse. This is our Celtic heritage.

Land's End

Dollar Cove
Suspension Bridge

Many a ship has come to grief in the seething and boiling waters of Dollar Cove. Now this chasm is spanned by a suspension bridge that not everyone dares to cross. But it's fun to do it!
Land's End

The new look Land's End includes the Land's End Hotel, exhibition halls, play areas, a suspension bridge above the scene of many a shipwreck, and speciality shops with craftsmen at work. The Last Labyrinth has been created to demonstrate the significance of the area with an experience featuring a stunning and original combination of lights and sound effects.

In 1987, Peter de Savary outbid the National Trust to purchase Land's End for almost £7 million from David Goldstone. He had two new buildings erected and much of the present theme park development was instigated by him. He sold both Land's End and John O' Groats to businessman Graham Ferguson Lacey in 1991. The current owners purchased Land's End in 1996 and formed a company named Heritage Great Britain PLC. In May 2012, Land's End received worldwide publicity as the starting point of the 2012 Summer Olympics torch relay.

The Isles of Scilly which lie approximately 28 miles to the south-west are sometimes just visible on the horizon. Land's End Airport is nearby which provides flights to the Isles of Scilly.

The village and peninsula are very wind swept, therefore not a place for gardens or tall trees, but the true beauty lies in the splendid cliffs, wide open areas of gorse and heather and spectacular sea views from The Coastal Footpath.

The Last Labyrinth

There are exhilarating walks along the coast path on the cliffs to Sennen Cove. On very clear days The Isles of Scilly are just visible on the horizon. A thrilling journey down through the tunnels of Land's End. Emerge at last into a vast cavern where stunning electronic wizardry immerses you in a dazzling theatrical spectacle which defies you to tell fantasy from reality. As if by magic, the very elements will play before you as a moving tale unfolds - of shipwrecks, smugglers, pirates, heroism and mysterious legend. A fascinating combination of sound, vision and sensational special effects.
The Longships Lighthouse just a mile from the headland warns passing ships of the dangerous rocks in the area. When the sea is very rough the waves crash right over the lighthouse.

Europe's No.1 Multi-Sensory Experience

Maen Castle is an Iron Age promontory fort or 'cliff castle' close to Land's End. It is one of only two fortified sites in Cornwall where Early Iron Age pottery has been found.

The Lifeboat

The James and Catherine MacFarlane is an Oakley class self-righting lifeboat which has served many years with the RNLI. Come aboard a real lifeboat, view the crew accommodation, and even sit in the coxswain's chair.
