Local history

The museum provides a number of themed exhibitions relating to Newquay and Cornwall's historical and cultural heritage together with a variety of general displays and exhibitions. We have a large archive of historical information relating to Newquay for researchers.

Our museum room runs a number of themed displays that relate to Newquay's past and may include subjects such as archaeology, tourism, marine, mining and recent topical themes.

The Corridor gallery exhibition displays are available to view daily during office hours. These are Newquay and Cornwall related and there are regular community exhibitions by other societies, schools, organisations, individuals, including artists.

Our archive room contains a wealth of information relating to Newquay and district. It contains thousands of maps, documents and photographs that have been collected for over 80 years.
