Wildlife Sanctuary

The world's rarest and most beautiful birds, fascinating otters, squirrels and little monkeys. Exciting daily events, superb gardens and plenty of fun for children.

Founded by Mike and Audrey Reynolds, 'Bird Paradise' as it was then known, opened in 1973. A bird garden was Mike's dream, to house his ever growing collection of tropical birds including many parrots.

Our work for conservation has won much recognition including first prize in BBC Wildlife Magazine's 'Zoo Conservation Awards for Excellence'.
Now three otter species at the
Cornish Otter Sanctuary
plus NEW viewing area.
Playful Asian Otters, shy European Otters and now large, athletic North American Otters can be seen at Paradise Park.
Many baby otters have been produced. Don't miss these playful creatures, especially at feeding times.

Huge aviaries and spectacular birds, jungle plants, streams, board-walks and waterfalls.
Paradise for jungle creatures like parrots, cockatoos and toucans.
Visitors can join in the 'Flight of Rainbows' parrot feeding.
Eagles of Paradise
You must see Cornwall's
most exciting show!

Your favourite eagles and owls display their flying skills. Golden Eagle 'Zara', Bald Eagle 'Archie', Tawny Eagle 'Jason' and little 'Barnaby' the Barn Owl.

A Paradise for Garden Lovers

It's worth visiting Paradise Park just to see our thoughtfully developed Victorian walled gardens with sub-tropical plants, gazebos and a procession of rose and clematis arches. Unusual passion flowers and exotic butterflies can be seen in the Tropical House.
