History of a town

The town's museum is located on the ground floor of the Town Hall. It is well worth a visit, entry is free and it covers every aspect of Penryn's history including old fire appliances, and a comprehensive photographic history of the town.

Penryn Museum is providing a unique peek into the town's past thanks to a cash windfall. A £450 grant from The Co-operative Group has enabled the Penryn Museum Society to share a cache of old photographs with residents and visitors. Members have been able to preserve the images, transfer them on to a disk and project them on to a screen. This means the photographs can be displayed, without risk of being damaged themselves.
