Oo-ah tis cider (hic)

Polgoon was a derelict farm on the edge of Penzance when we discovered it in 2001, we managed to purchase the farm in 2002, not only was the farmhouse derelict but the outbuildings were all falling down too. We believe the original farmhouse dates back to 1803.

Kim and John Coulson decided to make Polgoon the family home and have set about improving and renovating the property and restoring to its former pride.

In 2003 we decided to plant the first of the vines, 3500 were planted on the south facing slopes at the back of Penzance.

The 2006 crop resulted in a rose wine that was judged the best rose in Britain at the UKVA competition. As a result it won the Waitrose Cup.

We also grow apples which are pressed and produce a fresh tasting apple juice.
