Pretty pocket sized garden
An inspirational plantsman's garden combining colour, form and structure. Situated in the heart of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, Poppy Cottage Garden covers an acre full of colour for all year-round interest.
Planted as a series of rooms, which are small gardens in themselves, it is brimming with bulbs, herbaceous, grasses, shrubs and even exotics, mainly colour themed, and with plenty of places to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of home-made cake. There is also a small orchard with unusual ducks and chickens, and a nursery area with a wide range of herbaceous plants for sale.
Cazz and Josh took over the garden in early 2017 from Tina and Dave Primmer. New for 2018 is the main orchard area and pond which is transforming into a home for wildlife, the pond has been planted with native water plants and the orchard will be sown with wild-flowers and grasses, as well as a range of bulbs suitable for wildlife.
On the A3078, the main road through The Roseland Peninsula.
