The YHA a network of 200 Youth Hostels, bunkhouses and camping barns, in stunning rural, coastal and city locations throughout England and Wales. The Youth Hostels are as individual as their visitors and vary from converted historic houses in our towns and cities to simple accommodation in remote, next to nature settings. Wherever you stay, you'll be free to discover the spectacular landscapes of England and Wales. Come by yourself, with friends or family - everyone's welcome !

When you stay at a Youth Hostel you can always be sure of friendly and helpful service from our staff. Accommodation is in comfortable bunk bedded rooms. Prices start from just a few pounds to stay the night and include bed linen and use of all facilities - lounge, self catering kitchen, plus drying room and cycle shed. Many Youth Hostels have on-site parking and grounds available for recreation, as well as extras like a self-service laundry.

Most Youth Hostels also offer a full catering service, and provide a delicious three course evening meal (with a vegetarian option). Some Youth Hostels even have a table licence so adults can enjoy a drink of wine or beer with a meal !

This delightful stone Hostel overlooking Boscastle harbour was originally a stable for horses pulling boats ashore. The tastefully converted hayloft has single beds and retains the original beams. An open fire in the lounge/dining room gives a very cosy atmosphere. Set at the high water line where the River Valency meets the sea, the Hostel is on the South West Coastal Path surrounded by superb coastal scenery and walks. There are interesting Thomas Hardy connections too. The fishing harbour with its blow-hole is preserved by the National Trust.

This former old farmhouse and stone barn, converted into a cosy Hostel, offers small bunk rooms and a snug atmosphere - ideal for families and individuals. Relax in the homely lounge, browse through the local information and decide where to go next. Friday night is BBQ night at Boswinger ! Amid wonderful Cornish countryside and near the South West Coastal Footpath, this Hostel only four miles from the fishing village of Mevagissey and ten miles from St. Austell.

This lovely country house is situated above an old fishing village, once a notorious smuggling haunt, with panoramic views of the coast. There is an ancient orchard for camping, extensive lawns and volleyball court. Good home cooking and barbecues are a speciality! There is easy access to the South West Coastal Footpath, dramatic cliffs and deserted coves - ideal for sea bathing, fishing and boating trips. The RYA windsurfing school offers week or weekend courses, plus you can hire mountain bikes and surf skis.

YHA Eden Project (powered by Snoozebox) is a unique place to stay and it's perfectly in tune with its sustainable, eco-friendly surroundings! The modern en-suite bedrooms are made from recycled shipping containers and they're fully kitted out with high spec bathrooms and all the convenient comforts you'd expect from a hostel, even TVs! The hostel site includes a large heated reception marquee that can be used as a fun social space, and there's a campsite a short walk away if you want to be even closer to nature. You can pitch your own tent or hire a beautiful festival-inspired bell tent in the summer months. FREE WI-FI is available in communal areas for guests!

A friendly Hostel with basic accommodation - set in three acres of grounds in the beautiful Cot Valley, there are open log fires, good food and fine sea views, as well as lots of local books, maps and guides on walking routes. This is an area with a spectacular coastline (seals and dolphins can often be seen), clean sandy beaches and wild-flowers - as well as desolate moorland studded with stone circles, neolithic burial chambers and standing stones. Ideal for walking, cycling, surfing and birdwatching. And only three miles from Land's End.

This former Victorian hotel is one of the southern-most buildings in England. Its special peninsula location means there are fabulous sea views, beach-combing, walking and unique wild-flowers so it’s a popular location - perfect for an activity break in Cornwall or seaside holiday. Kynance Cove is within easy walking distance and the hostel is a good base for walking and birdwatching holidays. There are lots of small rooms and en suites available at this self-catering site. There is a pub and restaurant in Lizard village only half a mile away.

This early 18th century Georgian mansion, built on the site of a 14th century medieval fort, is reputed to have a smugglers tunnel ! There are superb views across Mount's Bay to the Lizard Peninsula and St. Michael's Mount. Don't go home without trying the speciality ice cream. You will find easy access to the South West Coastal Footpath with miles of magnificent scenery and some of Britain's finest beaches. The area is steeped in Celtic culture with ancient burial chambers and stone circles. The subtropical climate fosters a varied selection of fauna and flora.

Perched on the rugged west coast of Cornwall, this former coastguard station offers wonderful views over an exciting coastline with untamed seas and isolated bays. With three miles of excellent surf beach, it's also a surfers paradise. This self catering Hostel stands on the South West Coastal Footpath, with St. Agnes, Holywell Bay and Newquay. Local attractions include Newquay Zoo and the historic city of Truro.

Enjoy easy access to stunning beaches, bluebell woods and the coastal path when you take a cheap family break at this converted barn. Ideal for everyone, the barn is in the grounds of a Grade II listed manor house, it has interesting grounds, with a wooded valley trail to the lovely Portreath Beach. There are miles of coastline to explore on a walking and cycling holiday and it's a great location for activity breaks or a watersports holidays. Relax and enjoy a picnic outside on the patio.

This small self catering Hostel is a little "gem", it offers comfortable accommodation in traditional dormitories and is perched on the Glebe Cliff with stunning views of the coastline, sea and wonderful sunsets. Enjoy the superb views along the South West Coastal Footpath, visit St. Nectan's Glen and its ancient rock carvings, or explore the 13th century remains of Tintagel Castle. Best known for its Arthurian legends, you can watch the waves break over the threshold of Merlin's Cave.

This interesting seaside house has stunning views and is very close to a fine sandy beach. The picnic tables on the front terrace are a favourite spot in the evenings s particularly when the barbecue is lit ! The nearby lighthouse of Trevose Head watches over many fine surfing beaches, lifeguard patrolled from May to September. The resort of Padstow is only four miles away.
