Industrial Narrow Gauge Tramway, Toy and Mining Museum
The Moseley collection has approximately fifty items of rolling stock including carriages, wagons, mine tubs and specialist vehicles. A 24 inch gauge railway runs though Tumblydown horse paddocks for approximately 600 yards. There are seven working locomotives on site and one under going restoration. five are battery electric vehicles and three are diesel units.
Also on display are a wide variety of vintage toys, such as,working tinplate trains and construction sets. Examples include Hornby 'o' gauge, Hornby Dublo, Meccano, Lima 'O' gauge, Trix Twin Scalextric, Dinky toys, Bayko, Tin-plate Toys, Dinky Builder, Ace trains and LGB.
Mining tubs and artefacts are presently on display in the main museum collection. And a purposely designed series of mine galleries house more of this important historic collection. Within the museum are dozens of domestic and industrial artefacts, some recognisable and others long forgotten.
One mile west of Redruth and just north of the A30.
