Activity Centre offers unrivalled water-sports facilities

Sailing, walking, cycling or just getting away from it all - Go Lakeside!

Stithians Lake offers a variety of activities for all ages, abilities and interests.

Golden Lion pub and restaurant adjacent to lake.

Stithians Dam was completed in 1967 to create a 270 acre reservoir to the west of the village, which supplies water to a large part of the west of Cornwall. It is a place for bird-watching, fishing and water-sports. With over five and a half miles of bank, walkers and bird watchers will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and bird hides.

Walking at Stithians Lake

Located a few miles from the A30, the reservoir is surrounded by farmland and moorland, including a network of paths for tranquil or more active expeditions. There is a great walk from the café to the imposing Stithians dam. Take care: the route does involve a section of country lanes. There is also a five mile circular route which runs adjacent to the lake through meadows, wet woodland and heathland, which are environmentally managed by our dedicated Countryside Team.

Cafes

As if all this was not enough we have the fantastic Cafe based within the water-sports centre, a great place to grab a coffee and some cake's or some of the other delights on offer. Sit back and enjoy the fantastic views of the lake.
